Detroit Institute of Music Education Gets Lifeline With New Oakland University Partnership (Detroit Free Press, September 9, 2020) "The Detroit Institute of Music Education (DIME) is back in action, three months after abruptly shutting down amid a contentious falling-out with a Colorado affiliate. Oakland University has stepped in as DIME’s new accreditation partner, both schools are set to announce. The arrangement paves the way for existing DIME students to complete degrees left hanging when the school's deal with Metropolitan State University of Denver was terminated."
