The Committee consists of nine members, each serving a three-year term, and includes individuals who represent higher education leadership, faculty, accrediting organizations, and others with expertise and experience in accreditation and academe.

“Dr. Wyld’s life-long dedication to higher education institutional quality and high academic standards are significant, said CHEA Board of Directors Chair Gena Glickman, who also serves as President Emerita of Manchester Community College. “Jean continues to serve CHEA at the highest levels and, based on her outstanding work as past CHEA Committee on Directors’ Chair, she will work to ensure accreditors maintain high standards for programs and institutions across the country.

She has served the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) by chairing accreditation teams completing reviews of New England post-secondary institutions.

She served a six-year term as a member of the Board of Directors of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, and six years as a member of the Association of Chief Academic Officers Advisory Council. She serves on the editorial board of BioScience, a journal published by the American Institute of Biological Sciences.

Prior to serving as Provost at Springfield College, she served as Chief Academic Officer of York College of Pennsylvania, and in various faculty and administrative roles at Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire.
