The Council for Higher Education Accreditation Names Jeanne Hamrick as Director of Communications

Jeanne Hamrick(Washington, DC) – The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) today announced that it has named Jeanne Hamrick as its Director of Communications where she is responsible for the organization’s member, external, internal, and media communications outreach.

“Jeanne’s expertise in leading integrated communications efforts with national nonprofit organizations will help elevate visibility of CHEA and its important accreditation mission, said CHEA President Cynthia Jackson-Hammond. “Accrediting organizations earning CHEA recognition signifies that they have met rigorous CHEA standards for promoting promotion of academic quality, institutional improvement, and advancement of student success.”

Hamrick previously worked in communications with national financial membership associations, and as Freddie Mac’s senior manager of public relations where she created and implemented communications strategy for the organization’s single-family division. Prior to joining Freddie Mac, she served as senior manager of media relations for the American Red Cross’ national headquarters where she developed and executed communications and media strategy and served as a corporate spokesperson for the organization’s mission-driven programs and disaster responses.
