The Council for Higher Education Accreditation Announces Kathleen Rzucidlo as its Fall 2023 CHEA Fellow

Rzucidlo to focus on higher education accreditation, recognition, and policy issues.

Kathleen RzucidloWashington, D.C. – The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) announced today that Kathleen Rzucidlo, a third-year Ph.D. student at Howard University, who also serves as an adjunct faculty member at American University, was selected to serve as its Fall 2023 CHEA Fellow.

Rzucidlo earned her master's degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania before furthering her education at Howard University in its Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies Program within the School of Education. 

“We are extremely pleased that Kathleen will be working with CHEA bringing with her a diversity of experiences and insights in higher education to the CHEA team,” said Cynthia Jackson Hammond, President of CHEA. “The CHEA Fellows Program provides a wonderful opportunity for Kathleen to learn accreditation and recognition processes for accrediting organizations, policy development, nonprofit Board oversight and operations, communications, business and finance, and government affairs.”

During the eight-week program, Ms. Rzucidlo will report to CHEA Vice President for Recognition Services, Loretta Waldron.

Ms. Rzucidlo will work at CHEA’s Washington, D.C. offices through December 2023.
